   Compared to last week, slaughter steers sold sharply higher, mostly
5.00-6.00 higher on a light test. Demand very good. Ethnic Steers are
steers sold primarily to the ethnic market. Today those steers sold
2.00-3.00 higher on good demand. Slaughter Holstein steers not tested
last week so no comparison. Not enough Slaughter heifers last week for
comparison. Slaughter cows sold 1.00-2.00 higher on good demand. Not
enough Slaughter bulls last week for a comparison. Cattle supplies
included 182 steers; 107 heifers; 546 cows; 27 bulls; and 98 feeder
calves. All prices per cwt.
                                                                       
   Slaughter Steers: High Choice and Prime 3-4  1500-1600 lbs 120.00-
130.00. Choice 2-3  1375-1700 lbs 115.00-120.00. Select 2-3  1250-1600
lbs 105.00-112.00. Ethnic steers  1300-1850 lbs 105.00-134.00, mostly

   Return to Farm Holstein Calves: Compared to a light test last week, 
Graded Holstein Bull Calves sold mostly steady to 20.00 lower with 
instances of 30.00-50.00 lower in Number 1 and 2 calves weighing 90-110 
lbs. Holstein Heifer Calves steady to firm on another light test. 
Ag Market News LLC under the USDA-QSA-LMAR program graded 364 head for 
Thursday's sale. All calves are sold by the cwt.

2  98-128 lbs 35.00-48.00; 86-96 lbs 25.00-30.00. Number 3  60-130 lbs
